报告摘要:

The circumnuclear material around AGN feed the central super massive black hole and produce intense X-ray emission. The surrounding material will reprocess the intrinsic X-ray emission and leave unique features on the observed X-ray emission. I will present an overview of recent progress on the "torus" around AGN and show how one can probe the circumnuclear material of AGN with observed X-ray signatures. Similar processes are also happening around high mass X-ray binaries, but with more plentiful phenomena due to the strong magnetic field of neutron stars. I will report some recent   findings on their circumnuclear material and some indications of the existence of tidal outflow in high mass X-ray binaries, which may significantly shorten their evolution time to double compact stars.
报告人简介:

报告人毕业于中国科技大学,曾在亚利桑那大学和麻省大学做博士后,现在国家天文台工作。早期研究宇宙的结构形成和再电离历史,近年来专注于星系,活动星系核,和双星系统的X射线辐射,主要是通过这些天体的X射线能谱特征探究所发生的物理过程。
