  杨建益,2011年博士毕业于新加坡南洋理工大学,2011-2014先后任美国密歇根大学先后博士后与研究员。2015年初就职于南开大学数学科学学院,2015年入选天津市青年千人计划、南开大学百青计划,2016年入选国家千人计划青年人才项目。主持国家自然科学青年基金一项,2018年获得霍英东教育基金会高等院校青年教师基金项目资助。以第一或通讯作者在Nature Methods(1篇)、Nucleic Acids Research(4篇)、Bioinformatics(5篇)等期刊上发表SCI论文22篇。论文被SCI他引1500多次,3篇论文入选ESI高被引论文。2016年起担任SCI期刊BMC Bioinformatics的副编辑。实验室网页:http://yanglab.nankai.edu.cn/。
报告人简介:  
  The increasing gap between the numbers of protein sequence and structure motivates the development of structure prediction algorithm. Meanwhile, with the rapid increase of the number of protein structures in the Protein Data Bank (PDB), it becomes urgent to develop algorithms for efficient structure database search and structure alignment. In this talk, I will introduce our recent work in the above topics, including (1) I-TASSER for protein structure prediction 1, 2; (2) COACH-D for structure-based protein-ligand binding sites prediction 3, 4; and (3) mTM-align for fast structure database search and multiple structure alignment 5, 6.
