报告摘要:

Late time cosmic acceleration of the Universe is one of the biggest and most interesting discovery. It is supported by a large number of observational investigations. In the standard framework based upon Einstein gravity, cosmic acceleration can be explained by an exotic fluid with large negative pressure filling the Universe, dubbed `dark energy'. Alternatively, cosmic acceleration can also be mimicked by the large scale modification of gravity. It is therefore important to find ways to discriminate between various competing models. To this effect, important geometrical diagnostics have been suggested in the literature such as statefinder, statefinder hierarchy and Om. We use these diagnostics to distinguish dark energy models among themselves and with LCDM.
报告人简介:

December 2015, Dr. Mohd Shahalam completed Ph.D. (related to dark energy and modified gravity.) at the Centre for Theoretical Physics, Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi, India. At present, he is working with Professor Anzhong Wang as a post-doctoral fellow in Institute for Advanced Physics & Mathematics, Zhejiang University of Technology. His research interests are Inflation, Dark Energy, modified theories of gravity and loop quantum cosmology.
